JPL's Open House and Webcast Weekend
Open House, Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, 2001, one-hour webcast Saturday, May 19, 11 a.m. Pacific time

NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab's Open House Webcast included a web page of topic links & list of  scientists and engineers. The webcast, now archive-viewable, introduced new species of Space-Faring Robots entering this Age of the Robotic Exploration of the Solar System.

The broadcast provided updates on existing planetary robots (& their control systems), interplanetary robots (some with artificial muscles, others organically-inspired Biomorphic Explorers),  & a new  head-mounted Wireless Augmented Reality Prototype (WARP) advanced communications system.

Meanwhile, new versions of JPL's Web Interface For Telescience (WITS) Web browser-based planetary lander and rover control software (including a public version you can download and use on your own computer) are available & JPL's Mars Yard has a site & web cam.
